Editorial methodology

A plain-language guide to how the public research record is produced and updated.

Two editorial lanes

The daily lane records the publication for the day. Early Try is a separate lane that can coexist with it and follow the same observation period.

Panel resolutions

An Early Try begins with the canonical Early Try status. Its internal sublabel can be null, try, raw or caught. Once the panel changes that sublabel, it is not changed again.

No Try day

A No Try day is still published. It uses a different context-led format covering the market, general news and notable research.

Honest chronology

Records keep their original historical position. Visibility may increase when a resolution is relevant, but the publication is not silently rewritten or moved to create a second version of events.
